Does pc continue downloading while hibernating or in sleep mode? Dont start telling me piracy is wrong. I know it i just always use it as a kind of preview if i like the movie or game ill buy it if not i delete the vid or movie. The result: yes, it does. It seems the games will download about 15% faster – though, because Nintendo doesn’t provide any time estimates when downloading, and sleep mode means you can’t.

The Nintendo Switch Downloads Faster in Sleep Mode. Every bit counts. Recent tests have proved that the Nintendo Switch actually downloads things a little bit faster when in sleep mode.
This was probably just a hiccup as it was transitioning out of sleep mode. What happens when your Nintendo Switch dies? You’ll live, your data won’t. So all I’d have to do is box up.

Is secure boot enabled on your computer?

If secure boot is turned off it might cause your computer not to recognize
the built in video card and which may lead to the sleep mode option
missing.

Method 1:

Also, your video card might not support sleep. I suggest you to update the
latest video card drivers manually from the following link and check if it
helps.

Sleep and other power-saving states are turned off in your computer's basic
input/output system (BIOS). To turn on sleep, restart your computer, and then
enter the BIOS setup. As your computer starts, instructions typically appear on
the screen that indicate which key or keyboard shortcut you must press to enter
the BIOS setup process. Because not all computer manufacturers use the same
BIOS, different keys are assigned for this purpose. To learn more, check the
information that came with your computer or go to the manufacturer’s
website.

Note:

Modifying BIOS/ complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings
incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from
booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from
the configuring of BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Modifications of the
settings are at your own risk.

I want to share my experience regarding sleep mode in windows 10. I always turn my laptop into sleep mode whenever I leave the office. The following day, as I turned on my laptop, all my open apps were all gone, it somehow like you turn on the computer from scratch (power off mode). How do I handle this situation?

i updated to windows 10 on my desktop .i always keep it to go screen saver then sleep when not in use.Now after windows 10 it is set to do that with screen saver start at 10 min then sleep in 20 minutes .neither are starting even with signed out of everything with microsoft account and signing in the old way it still will not go to sleep mode or run the screen saver.what could be the problem tried everything?

I updated to 10 and am having just the opposite problem. I set the sleep mode to start in 15 minutes but instead of sleeping in 15 min, it goes to sleep in 1 min whether I am watching a video or reading a book. I can't find a solution.

I do appreciate your efforts and time. Do not worry, will assist you with the issue.

I request you to follow these steps to make sure Network Adapter is not interfering with computer entering into sleep mode:

Press WindowsKey and X Key, select DeviceManager.
Expand the Network Adapter, right click and select Properties.
Under the power management check the box which says “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”.
Press Ok.

Now check with the issue.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately after selecting Properties there isn't any box to check. There is just a tab saying General and beneath is an icon with the text Network adapters besides. The only thing that can be selected here is the OK or cancel button on the bottom.

If you expand the network adaptors heading (click on the little down arrow at the side) you will see all your adaptors. Right click on each of them to amend their properties.

Hello, I have the same problem: it goes to sleep in time from 2 to 3 minutes (no matter what set: 15 or 20 min, whatever). BUT It doesn't go to sleep if my AIMP-player option 'Prevent display from powering off' is activated. Unfortunately, it works only if AIMP window is active.
